Sun. 1st Mar. 2009: Go-Karting....
The fun kicks off at 3.00pm, West Country Karting, Trench Lane, Bradley Stoke, Bristol. http://www.westcountrykarting.co.uk Email: diane.folan@live.uwe.ac.uk for details. Sorry ... event now booked!
AGM: Thur. 26 Feb. 2009, 1.30-2.30pm, Core 24.
Following a low turnout at some of the socials for 'The Albion' and 'The Grapes' it was decided by the Committee at the AGM to cancel the regular socials at these venues for the remainder of the term. The Albion is still the Society's local, so we may well meet up/call in here at some point in the future either before or after another event.
As well as the Go-Karting event on Sunday we are planning a trip to Thorpe Park in the next month or so, and also a charity fundraising event before the end of term. If you'd like to get fit and help worthy causes in the process, get your bicycles well oiled and trainers at the ready and watch this space!!

9th July 2007 - Update on the Bristol Harbour Run
We are happy to let you know that the event went smoothly and that both Diane and Eleimon kept their end of the bargain and run the 2.5 mile course, all in the name of charity of course.
Eleimon completed the run in 26 minutes and he is also glad that he managed not to injure himself or find himself in any other mischief, while Diane did the whole thing in 36 minutes, actually improving on her time from last year when she did another run for charity. Well, some people actually become better as time passes, unlike many people would rush to admit!
And just in case you were wondering whether or not it's all a big porky, we have the photos to prove it. For your own pleasure, here they are:
